Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in a sticky honey BBQ glaze - these bite-sized chicken pieces are the ultimate quick appetizer or healthy dinner for any gathering.
1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
½ cup honey
¼ cup barbecue sauce
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking spray for the air fryer basket
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, barbecue sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Add the bite-sized chicken pieces to the marinade, coating each piece evenly. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to a few hours in the refrigerator.
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for a few minutes.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the marinated chicken in a single layer, without overcrowding.
Air fry for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and develops a golden-brown color.
Let the chicken bites rest for a few minutes before serving hot.
