Creamy Orange Cinnamon Tea Sandwiches
A creamy, sweet, and fruity tea sandwich made with just 5 ingredients. Perfect for parties, tea time, brunch, or lunchboxes.
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 15-20 mandarin orange segments from a can, drained
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar, more to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
- 1 loaf cinnamon swirl bread
In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, drained mandarin orange segments, brown sugar, and pecans (if using) together. Use a fork to crush the oranges as you mix everything together.
Taste the mixture and add more brown sugar if you'd like it sweeter. A little goes a long way.
Spread the mixture on a slice of cinnamon swirl bread and top with another slice to make a sandwich.
Remove the crusts if desired, then cut into triangles or your preferred shape.
Repeat with remaining bread and filling. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes: These sandwiches are great for pool bags, park trips, and lunchboxes. Since the filling contains cream cheese, keep them chilled until serving.
