Cook Time 18 minutes
Servings 7 sliders

Ingredients

  • 1 pack Hawaiian rolls (12-count)
  • 8–10 slices cheddar cheese (or Colby Jack, American, Swiss, or mozzarella)
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted (salted recommended)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Pinch of salt and black pepper
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, beef bacon, or chicken bacon, cooked (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Using a serrated knife, slice the entire sheet of Hawaiian rolls horizontally without separating the individual rolls. You should have one large slab on top and one on the bottom.
  • Place the bottom half in a baking dish. Lay cheese slices in an even layer across the entire surface.
  • If using protein, add cooked and crumbled or sliced turkey bacon, beef bacon, or chicken bacon evenly over the cheese.
  • Place the top half of the rolls back on. Press down gently with your palm to help everything settle.
  • Stir together melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, and pepper. Brush the entire mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.
  • Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 12 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes until tops are golden brown.
  • Slice along the roll lines and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra softness, brush tops with a little additional melted butter immediately after baking.
  • Mix cheddar and mozzarella for the ultimate melt and stretch combination.
  • Assemble up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerate unbaked. Bake when ready.
  • Reheat in oven at 325°F for 8–10 minutes. Avoid microwave.
  • Freeze baked and cooled sliders in an airtight container for up to 1 month.
Serving Suggestions: Warm marinara, tomato soup, honey mustard, ranch dressing, or queso dip.
